Build Health Communities, Not Prisons!

We need better education systems, deepened community roots - and care - and a culture of mutual aid.

Rally: Build Health Communities, Not Prisons! Montpelier, April 15th, 1pm

Please join @FreeHerVT and many other organizations for our rally, “Build Healthy Communities, Not Prisons,” at the State House on April 15th at 1pm!

Come feel the magic of the movement through a mix of speakers, performers, music, and community joy. The rally will feature speeches by, among others, Lydia Diamond, Tiffany Harrington, Representative Brian Cina, Mia Schultz, Wafic Faour, FaRied Munarsyah, and Andy Blanchet. We will also have performances by Kiah Morris and the Burlington Dance Team.

Our speakers will bring the energy and speak to why they believe the State should no longer invest in prisons, but in healthy communities!

The rally will end with community joy time which will include activities, food by People’s Kitchen, tabling by ally organizations, and a live DJ! Please RSVP here (https://the-council.us/VTRally) and share out the RSVP link and graphics with your networks. Join us to resist the carceral state and build a movement to put communities and their needs first!
